LCS is excited to announce the promotion of Will Pate to Vice President and Controller of LCS.
Since joining LCS in December 2020 as Controller, Will has embraced more responsibility and increased leadership in both financials and Human Resources and Information Technology. He has also been a right hand to David Skinner, Executive Vice President, and Owner. He has steadily increased his portfolio of responsibilities to include Human Resources (HR) and Information Technology (IT).
Will brings 14 years of accounting experience and talent in the design and construction industry. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California, and a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.
In his new role, Will is responsible for budgeting, cash flow planning, analyzing financial performance, forecasting future performance, and GAAP Compliance. He is also part of the leadership team playing an integral role in bringing new talent, training, and technology. He will maintain his responsibilities as Controller in addition to his responsibilities as head of HR, leader of IT efforts, and other administrative management duties for LCS.
Within the Human Resource realm, Will manages workers comp, general liability insurance, ISNetwork Safety compliance, our 401k program, Employee Benefits, and ASAP/ OSCA and OSHA training. He also introduced BambooHR, a new HR management system, which has systemically organized the onboarding process and created an efficient employee database. Enhancing the company culture has also been a top priority for Will. Not only does he bring a positive attitude to every project, but he has also played a key role in initiating team bonding events and field meetings.
On the technology side of LCS, Will champions all our corporate technology. He also brought on a new and more integrated IT Support team to support office staff and construction field crews.
Will continues to demonstrate his commitment to LCS in his daily work. He willingly takes on new responsibilities, continues to learn and grow, and is happy to support others.
Will’s promotion is a significant milestone for LCS. We’re embracing a new generation of leadership and can wait to see what other new opportunities arise.
